therapy FAQs
-
I'll seek to learn more about you and why you're seeking therapy. You'll get a sense of my energy and style of work, so you can see if it could be just what you're needing. I'll ask questions to get clear on what you're wanting and what blocks have been around for you. From here, I'll offer a plan for how we can reach this through the therapeutic process I offer. I leave room for any questions, and follow up with next steps.

We'll figure out scheduling and I'll send you forms on Simple Practice. Please review & sign before our first session.

I ask for a weekly commitment especially early on, since we'll more effectively able to co-cultivate a safe sanctuary to be with your inner world, setting us up for deeply healing work.
I offer longer and/or more frequent sessions if desired.
I can accommodate sessions up 90 mins long and up to 2x a week.

I'm not on any insurance panels. I'm licensed in NY, so only NY residents are eligible for insurance reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. If you may be eligible, check via the # on the back of your insurance cards.
Find out your amounts for out-of-network deductible, coinsurance %, and out-of-pocket limit.
I provide monthly 'superbills' (an itemized receipt of the services) that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

I reserve a limited number of reduced fee spots for people experiencing financial hardship.
Those who can afford my full rate support my capacity to make space for sliding scale options. This allows me to live in service to my values while honoring my work as well as my need to make a livable income.
My therapeutic practice is non-pathologizing, rooted in your wholeness, and rooted in practices to lovingly restore your instincts.
Stephanie’s story
Like many New York women, in our high-octane, high-velocity world, I know how painful it can be to deny the truth of our nature, to slowly wear down our pleasure, and numb myself to life.
Before I found my way to a mental health and wellness path, consistently, daily, I’d step into fancy skyscraper offices in male-dominated workplaces. If I was lucky, I’d give my inner little girl about 10 minutes, if that, or nothing for a long time. Everyday, I stayed in “survival mode.”
Not only was I living outside of my nature, I wasn’t in approval of my desires — putting me very much at war with myself, rather than whoever I thought I was at war with.
My work is for the women who resonate with softening, gentleness, who are heart-weary of carrying the heaviness and tenderness by their lonesome.
I’ve always been made fun of in my family for moving slow. I’ve always chosen my love.
1:1 breathwork | SOMATIC coaching
Breathwork is a powerful, somatic healing modality that can be effective in helping over-thinkers regulate their nervous systems so they can gain clarity, inner peace and be the embodiment of their most authentic, loving Self. If you’re looking for something completely integrated and tailored to your specific needs, 1:1 somatic breathwork/coaching might be the right step for you.
Ideally, we’d work together with 3-5 breathwork sessions, with integration in between. I offer various formats.
